Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is water based rehabilitation exercise, performed in a heated pool.

There are many benefits to hydrotherapy including low impact on painful joints, reduction in swelling, and allows movements that are not achievable on land or when a person is in pain.

Hydrotherapy is excellent for clients who have had joint replacement surgery, including knee and hip replacements, ankle surgeries and for those with back pain who find other exercise painful. In small groups we individually design an exercise program that targets your goals, working closely with the physiotherapist in the water.

Goals of Hydrotherapy include:

  • Reducing Swelling
  • Increasing Strength
  • Improve Flexibility
  • Increasing Endurance
  • Weight Loss

and many more.

TAC and WORKSAFE clients are welcome.

We run our Hydrotherapy classes at Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre (GRAC) corner of Breed Street and Kay Street, Traralgon. They are on a Tuesday morning at 8.30 am. Please make an appointment at our clinic to have an assessment and reserve a place.
